SCHEDULE
DAY 1
Arrival to Juan Santamaria International Airport of
Costa Rica. Right after tourists will be
moved to the hotel in San José. Supper, (Not include
in package).
DAY 2
6:00
a.m. We leave San Jose at 6:00 a.m.; our
delicious breakfast is on the way
going
to the Térraba River Bridge. Approximately at 11:00
a.m., we arrive in the bridge to begin a 17 km
biking adventure through several tracks and banana
plantations to the town of Sierpe. Over there, at
Sierpe River, we start our boat tour to Drake Bay.
For about one hour, we are going to enjoy a
wonderful time in this river and its mangrove swamp
reserve -the largest of its kind in the country.
Here we have the chance to see whiteface monkeys,
alligators, and a great variety of birds and
wildlife. Once upon arrival in Drake Bay, and after
having lunch and resting, you may walk around the
coastal town. Lodging and dinner in Bahia Drake
town.
DAY 3
7:00
a.m. We start hiking in muddy trails and
tracks. On the way, the group is going to pass
through small villages like Rancho Quemado, Banegas
and La Palma. From here, we continue our trip until
the banks of Rincon River, which is the location of
“Albergue Cerro de Oro”: our final destination of
this day. “Albergue Cerro de Oro”, a lodge built in
the middle of a dense greenery, is located 25 km
away from Guaymí, a Costa Rican indigenous reserve.
Besides providing you with dinner and lodging,
Albergue Cerro de Oro gives you the opportunity to
learn about the local medicinal plants and get in
touch with the surrounding natural attractions.

DAY 4
7:00
a.m. Along with our local tour guide, you are
going to experience the natural scenery of the
region at its best. Along the 18-mile hiking we are
going to see several breathtaking spots like Conte
River, the village of Amapola, located in the heart
of Osa Peninsula, and finally, the town of Puerto
Jiménez. We will continue by country roads,
crossing rivers, going up and down by mountains up
to Carate Beach, about 38 kms, through Reserva
Forestal Golfo Dulce, where supper and lodge will be
provided.
DAY 5
6:00
a.m. Breakfast.
7:00
a.m. We start the return to Puerto Jiménez.
Meanwhile , we will stop in Matapalo Beach, where
surfing is practiced, We will arrive to Puerto
Jiménez at the end of the afternoon. There will be
some time free. Supper and lodge in this town.
DAY 6
7:00
a.m. Breakfast.
8:00
a. m. The visit to Golfo Dulce starts from the
muelle of Puerto Jiménez. Visitors will be able to
use snorkels to observe a real marine shrine.
Also, it is possible to see dolphins playing in
these warm and quite waters.
There
are : Green coral reef, “mangrove trees “, a
great variety of fish, Marine birds, river mouths,
sea Kayak, little islands, and complete tropical
paradise. Cold lunch and some rest, supper and
lodge in this town .
DAY 7
7:00
a.m. Breakfast.
8:00
a. m. We will leave Puerto Jiménez by boat
through Golfo Dulce up to Golfito. From Golfito on
there will be a van that will take the group to
ciudad Cortés. After that, bikes will take the
tourist south coast road crossing over “Marino
Ballena” National Park, to Dominical Beach and 5
kilometers away there is a stop at Paraíso Tropical
Cabins, located between mountains. Supper and
lodging in the cabins mentioned.
DAY 8
7:00
am. Breakfast.

am. Begins with a horse ride about 6 kms. Ride to
Nauyaca water falls which are at 6 kms away. One of
them has a 45 meters of free falling, the other has
20 meters, where it is possible to swim, hike and
others. Thraug the ride a Tico lunch will be served
(food cooked on a wooden stove). The plan is to be
back at 2:00 o’clock to return to San Jose at 3:00
o’clock, arriving approximately four hours later.
DAY 9
It is
possible to coordinate a short visit to down town
San Jose, according to the departure of the
international flight.

1
Arrive at the Juan Santamaría International Airport.
Right after, tourists will be moved to the hotel in
San José. Supper, not included in package
Day 2
8:00 a.m. Departure from hotel in San José to
Golfito, by a four wheel drive car around 7 hours.
Day 3
Our tour starts
with a 33-mile ride from Golfito to Esquinas beach,
where we will be camping.
Day
4
Our next
destination will take place 28 miles away at the
Mogos islets, passing through the Esquinas river
mangrove.
Day 5
The day after, we will take a
21-mile ride to Rincón.
Day

San José at 8:00 a.m.

It
is possible to coordinate a short visit down town
San José, according to the departure of the
international flight.
On
this exhilarating trip, you will be using a 13 –foot
long aqua terra sit on top sea kayak made of fiber
glass, totally unsinkable, with two conventional
paddles and neck life jackets.
The minimum
rowing time is 6 hours; on this voyage, you will
have the opportunity to see one of the three species
of dolphins that inhabit the Golfo Dulce. If the
weather is suitable, you will be able to kayak at
night and see the marvelous gleam of the glowworm,
which is a part of the zooplankton.
Erecting tents, helping with the cooking, watching
the sunrise and the twilight, sharing around the
bonfire, or just finishing the day with a long rest,
are only some of the most fascinating camping
experiences of this adventure.
The
north coast of Golfo Dulce will afford you islands
and shallow coral reefs perfect for snorkeling. You
can also appreciate mollusks, goldfish, parrotfish,
garfish, porgies, pompanos, angelfish, eels, mantas,
etc.
As
far bird watching, you will enrich this experience
with the presence of a large variety of both
seabirds and low-flying birds.
When
exploring the mangroves, you will learn how plants
and animals can grow in a saline swampy as a very
important forest. You will also view seabirds,
orchids, crabs, and snails feeding on mangrove
roots. However, such boat tours can be made only is
the tide is high.
As a
part of the jungle adventure, on one stage of the
tour, you will be informed about the number of
plants, herbs, and edible fruits available to
survive in the jungle.
With
the beautiful beaches and plenty of sun every day,
you will enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the warm
water of Golfo Dulce beaches.
